Welcome to The International Services Council of Alabama!

On behalf of the ISC Board of Directors, Advisory Council, Diplomatic Corps, and the many international visitors we receive every year, we wish to welcome you to our web site and the many interesting opportunities we present to bring the global community to your front door -- and invite you to explore this web site to discover exactly what we do and how you can participate.

Since 1965 we have established and nurtured international contacts with visitors and residents from around the world to enrich Alabama’s education, commerce, and global awareness through a variety of programs, events, and volunteer opportunities.

Alabama residents have eagerly engaged in practicing Citizen Diplomacy: the right, indeed the responsibility, for each individual to help shape U.S. foreign policy “one handshake at a time.”

We are proud of our partnerships with the U.S. Department of State and are grateful to them, to the Small Business Administration, Madison County, the City of Huntsville, the National Council for International Visitors and UAHuntsville for their generous support and collaboration.
