ISC Diplomatic Corps

Citizen Diplomacy requires persons with a wide variety of skills and talents that can be used in improving international relations by focusing on the local level.

Members of ISC Alabama’s Diplomatic Corps are outstanding examples of the types of individuals who can make an important difference in the global community by opening their doors to those who come to teach and those who come to learn.

Board Members play a vital role in determining the strategy and program direction of ISC, as well as garnering and contributing financial support for ISC’s many activities. Advisory Council Members, as the name implies, offer advice and support to ISC by sharing their experience and expertise in the field of international relations with visitors and local participants in ISC programs.

Diplomats serve as the front line of face-to-face interaction with foreign visitors, performing a wide range of important roles, such as greeting visitors at the airport, or hosting a dinner in their homes, or providing personalized tours of Alabama sites of interest. ISC Alabama could not exist without the active and caring participation of its Diplomatic Corps.
